They sailed from London on 9 October 1833 on board the ship “James Harris”; via Hobart Town, arriving - Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1 May 1834. Joseph died 11 July 1858 - Maravi, Edgecliffe Road, Woollahra, New South Wales, Australia. Mary Ann died 25 July 1871 - Tor Cottage, Potts Point, New South Wales, Australia and was buried - Rookwood, New South Wales, Australia.
