Trevor was born in Brisbane, Queensland on Sunday, 22 April 1956, the second of four children to Arthur Desmond Green and his wife Hazel Lily nee Oliver). The other children were his elder sister, Desley, and his younger brother and sister, Barry and Heather.

Trevor attended Windsor State School in grades 1 and 2.

Trevor was tragically killed after being knocked down by a truck whilst crossing Lutwyche Road on his way to school the day after his seventh birthday, Tuesday, 23 April 1963.

He has been fondly remembered.
