WEDDING.

THOMPSON—HORWOOD.

The marriage was solemnised yesterday of Mr. Douglas Thompson (of Albury), son of Mr. G. Arthur Thompson (managing-director of Messrs. Mate and Co) and grandson of the late Mr. T. H. Mate, and Miss Violet Horwood, eldest daughter, of Mr. C. K. Horwood, of "Weeroona," Trail Street, Wagga. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful cream coat, and skirt, and had for her bridesmaid, her sister, Miss Dorothy Horwood. The ceremony was performed in St. James' Church, Sydney, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon by the Rev. F. Wentworth Sheilds, the wedding party being confined to the relatives and a few intimate friends of both families. A reception was held after the wedding, at the Wentworth Hotel, Sydney, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson leaving later for their honeymoon in the Blue Mountains. Their future home is to be at Albury. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson were the recipients of a number of valuable presents, and congratulations were showered on them by a large circle of friends.

Daily Advertiser (Wagga Wagga), Friday, 17 September 1915, page 3.
