Heather was born on Monday, 18 July 1955, the third daughter and fourth child of Vic and Iris Jarrett.

She tragically drowned with her elder brother, Aaron, on Saturday, 16 January 1960 while bathing in the Clarence River, Grafton New South Wales at a family picnic. She was four years old.

Heather is fondly remembered by her loving parents, and her surviving siblings, who have passed on their memory of her so that those who never knew her have grown to love her too.

Heather was buried in the South Grafton Cemetery, location unknown. A plaque has been placed in the children’s memorial section of the Clarence Lawn Cemetery, Armidale Road, Braunstone, New South Wales, Australia
