John Bucknell Waldron (named for his father's deceased older brother) was born on the 2nd July 1869, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, the son of James Walker Waldron and Mary Bushby.

For at least some years John carried on a business of pawnbroker, financier, second-hand dealer, and hide-buyer in partnership with one Harry Cohen. Said partnership was dissolved in 1916, as announced by them in the Government Gazette of the State of New South Wales on Friday the 29th December 1916.

A marriage has been found for John in the records compiled by Edmund Rees (Ted) Baker to a widow, ElizabethnJane Theyer nee Bickle), but no official record has been found, nor is he known to have had any children.

John Bucknell Waldron passed away in on 27 February 1960, in Murwillumbah, New South wales, Australia, aged 90 years.
