OLD LACE

For Bridal Veil

Rare Honiton lace, which has been worn by many brides and is more than 100 years old, formed the bridal veil of Miss Madeline Joan Koch, for her Wedding yesterday afternoon to Mr. Henry Kirk Raleigh Thomas. Mounted on tulle, the veil was held in place by a coronet of pearls.

Wattle and golden flowers decorated St. Augustine's Church, Neutral Bay, where the marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Louis Pearce.

The bride, who is the younger daughter of Mr. H. Koch and the late Mrs. Koch, of Neutral Bay, chose a frock of magnolia satin with dolman sleeves and a long train cut into the skirt. She carried a sheaf of magnolias and hyacinths.

In a Patou-pink corded silk frock trimmed with pleated frills and a long train, Miss Olga Koch attended her sister as bridesmaid. Her sheaf was of pink-tinted lilies tied with green velvet ribbon.

Mr. Geoffrey Thomas attended his brother, who is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. R. Thomas, of Neutral Bay.

Mr. and Mrs. B. Shuter assisted the bride’s father in receiving the guests at a reception at the Pickwick Club.

The bridegroom’s mother chose a black velvet frock trimmed with squirrel and a black hat.

The honeymoon will be spent at Kosciusko.
