Mary Ann Lilwall nee Tregerthen was born in 1829 at Worcester, Worcestershire, United Kingdom. She married William Thomas Lilwall on, 9th February, 1852 at St. James’s, in the Parish of St. Lawrence, Sydney, New South Wales, William Thomas Lilwall, born 13th August, 1810 at London, Middlesex, United Kingdom and christened 6th January, 1811 at St. George the Martyr, Southwark, London, Middlesex, United Kingdom, son of John LILWALL and Elizabeth LOCKE, his wife. (They married 12th January, 1808) at St. Martin Orgar & St. Clement, Eastcheap, London, Middlesex, United Kingdom). Mary Ann died 14th August, 1896 at Gympie, Queensland and was buried 15th August, 1896 in the Gympie Cemetery, Queensland. William died 21st January, 1897 at Gympie, Queensland and was buried 22nd January, 1897 in the Gympie Cemetery, Queensland. (Note: William, convict No. 99 on “England” arrived 10th September, 1826. Age 17, read, write, Protestant, single, native of London, errand boy, crime, pickpocketing. Place of crime, Southworth (Southwark?), tried 2nd October, 1822. Sentence 7 years, no previous convictions. Height 4’ 10½”. Complexion ruddy & freckled, hair light brown, eyes hazel grey. Description: large scar on right hand and one on same wrist. RW on left arm). Mary Ann arrived in Sydney on 8th April, 1849 on board the ship “Midlothian”.
